PERSONALITY QUIZ ENTERTAINMENT
The Meltia Team is a creative group dedicated to providing entertainment content that deepens self-understanding and helps build better relationships. We combine insights from psychology with pop culture to develop a fresh style of personality quiz content every day.
Everyone wears a mask in social settings—the person they think they “should” be. Meltia was born from the desire to gently dissolve that mask and create an opportunity for you to face your true personality.
Through our personality quiz, we aim to deliver three core values:
Meltia calculates results using an original algorithm informed by psychological personality trait theories such as the Big Five model. Our 20 questions are designed to assess personality across five dimensions: thought patterns, emotional responses, behavioral tendencies, values, and interpersonal style.
Please note that this quiz is provided for entertainment purposes only and does not substitute for clinical psychological assessment or medical advice. If you have serious concerns, we recommend consulting a qualified professional.
In modern society, we are constantly exposed to the gaze of others. Social media timelines are filled with idealized versions of everyday life; at work, we perform as our "capable selves"; among friends, we read the room and present whoever we think will be liked. Living this way day after day, a quiet question surfaces: "Who am I, really?" The rise of so-called "social media fatigue" and exhaustion from wearing a "public mask" is no coincidence. We have spent so long trying to meet everyone else's expectations that we have pushed our own voice to the back of the line. Meltia was born in this cultural moment as a gentle invitation: "Why not pause for a moment and face yourself?"
What we value above all else is self-understanding. Knowing your strengths, weaknesses, thought patterns, and emotional tendencies doesn't just improve your relationships with others—it gives you the power to accept yourself. When self-awareness deepens, things start to click: "That's why I got angry back then," or "That's why I clash with that person." You are freed from needless self-blame. Meltia aims to offer this first step toward self-understanding not as a formal counseling session, but as a casual and enjoyable experience.
So why the concept of "melting"? It comes from the image of slowly dissolving the emotional armor we wear every day—our social personas, defensive behaviors, vanity, and pride. Not tearing it off by force, but letting it soften gently, like sinking into a warm bath. The "real you" that emerges may not be perfect, but that is precisely what makes it precious. The name Melt carries our wish: "Please accept yourself as you are."
There is a clear reason why Meltia uses a rich classification of 60 types. Most well-known personality quizzes offer 4 or 16 types, but human personality cannot be divided so neatly. Many people have had the experience of reading a result that is "mostly right, but doesn't quite fit." By refining the classification into 60 types, we aim to achieve the kind of precision that makes you think, "This is exactly me." We want to capture every subtle shade of individuality without letting anyone fall through the cracks, painting a personality portrait that is uniquely yours. This dedication lives in every aspect of Meltia—from the design of all 20 questions to every sentence of the result descriptions. We will continue to refine diagnostic accuracy and content quality so that you can experience the moment of thinking, "So this is who I really am."

At the foundation of Meltia's design lies the Big Five personality model (Five-Factor Model), the most widely supported framework in modern personality psychology. The Big Five describes human personality across five fundamental trait dimensions, and its validity has been confirmed through decades of empirical research. The five factors are: (1) Openness to Experience ─ curiosity toward new experiences and ideas, artistic sensitivity, and richness of imagination; (2) Conscientiousness ─ planning ability, self-discipline, perseverance toward goals, and a strong sense of responsibility; (3) Extraversion ─ sociability, energy, a tendency to experience positive emotions, and a desire for stimulation; (4) Agreeableness ─ empathy for others, cooperative attitudes, trustworthiness, and altruistic behavior; (5) Neuroticism ─ emotional instability, vulnerability to stress, and a tendency to experience anxiety and anger. These factors are independent of one another, and the combination of high and low scores across them produces a rich diversity of personality profiles.
Meltia builds its own proprietary algorithm using these Big Five factors as core axes, while also incorporating elements such as interpersonal behavioral styles and value priorities. Each question is designed to measure a specific factor, and across all 20 questions, the respondent's personality is captured multidimensionally. Furthermore, by analyzing interaction patterns between factors, we reveal the "texture" of personality that cannot be seen from simple high-low scores alone, thereby improving the accuracy of classification into 60 types. While leveraging insights from academic personality assessments, we balance scientific rigor with entertainment value through scenario-based questions rooted in everyday situations and pop-culture-inspired result descriptions.
Meltia's use of a 10-point slider is also grounded in psychometric reasoning. Traditional binary formats ("yes/no" or "A or B") are easy to answer, but they force what is inherently a continuous spectrum of human personality into just two points. Research in psychology has shown that increasing the number of scale points—as in a Likert scale—improves both measurement reliability (test-retest reliability) and validity (construct validity). A 10-point scale strikes an optimal balance between practicality and precision: respondents can express their feelings with nuance without being overwhelmed by too many choices. There is a world of difference between "slightly leaning toward A" and "strongly leaning toward A" in terms of what they reveal about a person's character. The ability to capture these subtle gradations is one of the key factors behind the diagnostic accuracy of Meltia.
